ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE

  • Illustrator

Zena Kay is an illustrator and designer whose work is thoughtfully focused on food, seasonal storytelling, travel, and small brand content. Based in Nottingham, she collaborates with clients locally, nationally, and internationally across diverse cultures and sectors.

She has participated in numerous mural exhibitions including the Nottingham City Library mural, Bridlesmith, and Art Fest. Additionally, she has hosted various workshops for small businesses and festivals.

  • Photographer

I’m a photographer based in Nottingham. My work focuses on everyday life, portraits, and documentary-style stories that explore the connections between people and place. Blending street and observational photography, I’m interested in themes of identity, community, and how environment shapes experience.

  • Visual Artist

Woosun Choi is a visual artist from Seoul, South Korea, based in Nottingham,UK. She studied her master of fine arts at Nottingham Trent University. She paints on canvas with oils and works on digitally too.

Her practice revolves around the externalisation of personal emotions in various fictional characters that she asserts are all a part of herself, radically taking the idea of self-portraiture beyond the self. She examines the social and political nature of these themes; scrutinising the ordinary aspect of daily life and transforming, and transporting it into a new reality.
